🎒 1. Your First Steps in the City
When you first join the city, you’ll spawn inside a hotel room. This is your temporary home while you get used to life in Los Santos.
Head downstairs to the reception area.
Start your starter quest line (tutorial missions). These will teach you basic controls, moving around, and using your phone.
Once you complete these, you’ll be free to explore the city.
📱 2. Get a SIM Card for Your Phone
Your phone is your lifeline in Grand RP — it lets you call friends, take jobs, and check messages.
Visit any 24/7 store or mobile shop to buy a SIM card.
Once installed, you can receive job calls, advertisements, and more.
💰 3. Earning Your First Money
There are many ways to earn your first few thousand dollars:
- Solar Panel Jobs: Look at the ads on the left side of your screen — sometimes players hire workers for solar jobs. You can earn 10–20k per job. Remember: you can only plant 1 solar panel every 4 hours.
- Taxi Job: One of the easiest ways to meet people and earn some cash. Go to the Taxi HQ, get your cab, and start picking up players. There’s a full section on this in the Jobs page.
- ❌ Avoid the Bus Job — it’s slow and boring.
- Beach Market: Great for beginners to buy and sell small items, cars, and collectibles.
🚗 4. Your First Car
After finishing the starter quest, you’ll get to choose a temporary vehicle.
It’s not permanent — it’ll disappear after a while.
Use it to explore the city and visit key locations.
👨👩👧 5. Join a Family (Fam)
Joining a family (fam) helps you:
- Make friends, learn faster, and earn more money.
- Take part in Fam Raids and territory events.
- Many families are beginner-friendly and will help you get started.
🔐 6. Security and Prime
Set up 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) for your account.
If you get 7 Days of Prime, sell it instead of using it — why? Because new players already get 10 days of free Prime, so you can earn extra money selling that 7-day pass.
🏗️ 7. Expanding Your Career
Once you’re stable and level 5+ (or “5 years old in the city” as locals say):
- Start investing, join legal or illegal organizations.
- Try to buy a bunker, work contracts, or start a business.
- Keep exploring and finding what suits your RP style — legal jobs, gangs, families, or law enforcement.

- Always press K to open the Investment Menu and plan your playtime wisely.
- Check ads regularly — there are quick money opportunities everywhere.
- Don’t rush — learn the systems, talk to other players, and enjoy the RP.
- Save your first car purchase until you’ve learned the economy.
